Specially today, when we are trying to escape the near 40 degrees heat
we would like to invite you to recall our beautiful experiences of the winter.
These images of natural art were taken in Qinling mountains near Xi’an in China.

One cold winter day we’ve wrapped ourselves in all warm clothes that we had and climbed up to
1500 meter peak.

What we saw there left us in complete awe.

The wind and freezing water created unbelievable shapes that were shining like crystals in the sunlight.

We were walking slowly we among this masterpieces, and taking pictures of the sculptures, as if we were in some famous art gallery. In fact it really was a gallery and we were its visitors, the host and the artist was the Nature.

It was just -5 degrees Celsius, but our noses, arms and feet were freezing. We are not used to this kind of weather, you know.

Back in Israel, the coolest weather for us is +5 in winter. But these freezing adventure was totally worth it.

Our only pity was that we couldn’t take some of the masterpieces to our home. Well, perhaps we could, but then we would need to hold it in the fridge forever. And we have a very small fridge (sigh).

It was a pitty we couldn't take this masterpiece to our home

In the mountains we’ve found a frozen lake covered with ice. We could find the huge pieces of broken ice all over the lake shore.

Of course we couldn’t resist and started to play with them. We threw them in the air and watched how they broke into small pieces,

when they fell on the frozen lake surface.
