Chicago, Illinois is the place that offer a million things to do and see.
Not joking! A Million! There’s Ebony Fashion Fair or Jazz Festival that might be interesting for you or just a walk through the Millennium Park, where art meets music or Navy Pier, and your new discoveries of amazing museums or activities. Known by the nickname “the windy city”, Chicago is extremely windy because of proximity of the Michigan Lake and if you’re coming in the low season, don’t forget to pack warm sweaters!
Now, like in every other city, finding a hotel might be a bit tricky. It definitely depends on a crucial factor – how long are you staying?
If your visit to Chicago is just a few days long, you’ll probably try to find even a bit more expensive hotel, but in the downtown – much closer to the center of all best events, great museums, clubs and restaurants. If you decided to stay a bit longer, then there’s a whole new world of budget hotels to choose from.
It depends also, how tolerant you are to the limited things in hotel’s service and is the number of hotel’s stars something really important to you?
If not, lets then start with just renovated, Sleep Inn Tinley Park! (2 stars). It has a free high speed internet and free hot breakfast buffet along with really friendly service. The average price of this hotel is $73 per night.
It can be even less expensive than that, if you are willing to move a bit further. At the Arlington Heights (Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD)) there’s the Red Roof Inn Chicago – O’Hare Airport (2 stars) with an average price of just $46 per night.
Chicago Grant Park
You’re more for staying in the center of the city, then you’ve probably heard for Chicago Loop – part of the downtown with city’s attractions. The only problem here is that the prices of hotel rooms are very expensive and the solution is definitely avoiding the high season when finding a bargain hotel room – almost isn’t an option.
Chicago – Millennium park
Okay, we’ll going to stay in the downtown to see what’s the offer of cheap hotel’ rooms there. If you decision is – the Loop or nothing – your solution might be 2 stars Travelodge Hotel Downtown placed in the Chicago Loop. The average price per night in the hotel is (believe it or not) less than $100 – 95. The next best thing is Best Western Grant Park with an average price of $130.
The important thing to find a cheap hotel room is, of course, to stay tuned with the prices that many hotels are changing during the season. If you are persistent enough, you’ll find your price, I’m sure!
Find a cheap hotel in Chicago and discover museums, attractions, events, restaurants, friendly atmosphere of “the windy city”! And if the hotel you find is outside of center, don’t worry! The great news is that city’s public transportation system is so efficient and intricate! Chicago’s waiting for you!
